Liz Baker, President - Employment Development Department
Liz Baker is in her second year as President, and she is a founding board member of the Tracy Women’s
Forum Association. She has served on the board consistently for 12 years and has held various positions.
Liz and her husband Howard have been residents of Tracy for 20 years. They raised their 2 children in
Tracy, Howard III and Danielle, where they graduated from West H.S. and IGCG respectively. Liz holds a
Bachelor’s Degree from San Jose State University and is a Labor Market Analyst for the State Labor Market
Information Division. She is active in her church (Good News M.B.C.) and enjoys gardening, traveling,
reading, singing and helping others. Planning the women’s conference each year has become a year-long
process for Liz as new ideas materialize through personal contacts, the media, and life’s situations.
Through creativity and determination, this awesome group of women come together to celebrate the
diversity of women, and provide them with resources that will enrich their lives and the lives of those
influenced by them. Liz is very proud to be apart of this dynamic group of women who strive to improve
the communities in which we live through education and inspiration.
Jolene Saldivar, Vice President - Mediation Center of San Joaquin County
Jolene together with her husband Dan of 23 years lives in Patterson, California. They have 2 boys Daniel
14 and John 9 and on occasion you may see them in the shadows of Jolene volunteering their time and
helping out in various events here in Tracy. After 12 years of working in a Montessori based preschool in
Patterson, Jolene accepted the position as the Director of Sales for the Holiday Inn Express- Tracy in
January of 2002. In August 2003, a year and a half later Jolene became the General Manager of the
Holiday Inn Express. Currently Jolene is the General Manager of the Brand New Candlewood Suites of
Turlock, CA. Since 2002 has Jolene attended every Tracy Women’s Forum indeed she has! In 2006 she
joined the Tracy Women’s Forum Association Board and served 2007-2008 as Secretary. Jolene has never
been one to sit on the sidelines, preferring instead to take a more active role. Past endeavors include
Tracy Chamber of Commerce Board Member and Ambassador. She was the Ambassador Chair in 2006
and was Vice President of the Tracy Hispanic Business Group 2007. She has also been a Tracy Express
Network Member (affiliate of the American Business Women’s Association) since 2003 and was Vice
President of Program Preparation 2003 & 2007. Jolene has volunteered for a variety of other
organizations and events held in Tracy as well. Currently Jolene is a volunteer mediator for the Mediation
Center of San Joaquin (motto: Mediate not Litigate!). She is known for her smile of sunshine, charisma,
caring, friendly and fun loving attitude. I’m always happy to pass around my Pocket full of Sunshine!!
Alesia Batiste, Treasurer - M.H. Chew & Associates, Inc.
Alesia Batiste is the Office Manager/Accountant for a Safety and Engineering consulting firm located in
Livermore. Alesia holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Management from
the University of Phoenix and is currently working on her MBA with the University of Phoenix. Her motto is
“It is never too late to accomplish your goals.” As a former attendee of the Tracy Women’s Forum, she
was inspired by the efforts of the association and became a board member in 2006. She has been a
resident in Tracy since 1996, married and is the mother of three with one grandchild.
Shawn Kish, Secretary -LivingPictures
Shawn has lived in Tracy for 15 years, and with her husband Dan, is in the process of raising two fine
young men. Her background is in Information Technology, where she worked for 15 years as a Systems
Analyst. Currently she is very excited about her business which combines her computer background with
her creative abilities. After participating in the 2006 Women’s Conference, Shawn was impressed with the
positive impact the event had on the women in the community, and is proud to be a member of the Tracy
Women’s Forum Association.
Christine Carrier - Take Care Termite
Christine has successfully owned and managed the reputable company, Take Care Termite & Pest Control,
for over 15 years. Formerly, she gained administrative and computer skills during her 12 years at
Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). She attained her Bachelor’s degree in business from the
University of the Pacific. With this well-rounded background, Christine has the experience, knowledge and
passion to make things happen. Being drawn into leadership roles, she has always felt compelled to focus
her energy toward making a positive difference for others. While raising her 3 children, Christine spent
many years as a soccer coach, a youth minister and a Sunday school teacher. During her career, Christine
was chairperson of LLNL’s Hispanic employee association, voted “Affiliate of the Year” for the Central
Valley Assoc. of Realtors, meeting leader for the Tracy Realtor Marketing meetings, director for her district
of Pest Control Operators of California and president for the Tracy Business Partners BNI chapter.
Christine works on the board for the Tracy Women’s Forum because she believes it is important to
educate, enrich and enhance women in their endeavors. The rewards of bringing together women from all
walks of life to celebrate, grow, support and inspire one another far exceeds the investment of time,
energy and effort it takes to organize an event of this nature. Christine whole-heartedly invites you to

Cheryl Fowler - SJCC Worknet
Cheryl Fowler was born and raised in Tracy. After graduating from Tracy High, she married and moved to
Virginia while her husband was in the military. They returned to Tracy and eventually started a family.
They have four children, ages 11–20. Cheryl was in retail management for 25 years and is currently
employed with San Joaquin County. She has been stationed at the Tracy WorkNet Center as an
Employment Services Specialist II since August 2000. Her job involves working primarily with Tracy area
employers to fill their recruitment needs and marketing WorkNet’s programs within the community. Cheryl
has been involved with the Tracy Women’s Forum Association in varying capacities since the fall of 2000.
Cheryl has also been very involved with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce. She has been in the
Ambassador program for almost six years and was named 2005 Ambassador of the Year. She currently
serves on the Board of Directors’ Executive Committee and is the 2007 Chairperson of the Chamber.
Other professional and community groups that Cheryl is affiliated with are the Lathrop Sunrise Rotary,
Lathrop Chamber of Commerce, Tracy Educational Excellence Foundation, Job Developers Association,
Greater Stockton Employer Advisory Council, San Joaquin Human Resource Association, Sutter Tracy’s First
5 Family Success Team member, Girl Scouts Troop 1267, and the Tracy Cougars Youth Football. She has
also helped raise funds for the Women's Center of San Joaquin, Surtec’s Adopt-A-Family, and the
American Cancer Society’s Relay-for-Life.
Carla Thatcher - Realty World Millennium
Carla has lived in Tracy nearly 7 years, has been married 17 years, and has two teenage children. An 11-
year recruiting background prior to her real estate endeavors well prepared her to evaluate and choose
tenants for the properties she manages. Carla, a licensed real estate agent, is a residential property
manager for Realty World Millennium in Tracy. Her knack for building rapport and trust with clients and
tenants greatly enhances the value of RWM's property management services. Residential property
owners—single homes, duplexes, or apartment complexes—can trust their investment and goals with
Carla. Carla is currently the President of the Tracy Express Network, serves on the Board of Directors to the
Chamber of Commerce, is an Ambassador to the Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Tracy
Woman's Forum Association.
Dianne Timan -
Born and raised in Chicago, Dianne has lived in Tracy for 23 years. With her husband, Ralph, they have 8
children, 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She has been a licensed real estate agent for 23
years, and recently retired from Personnel Management after 16 years with Walmart. Dianne has been
very active in the community, working with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce, Tracy Soroptimist, and the
San Joaquin Drug and Alchohol Advisory Board. She has been involved with the Tracy Women's Forum
Association for 5 years.
General Members
Sheryl Atkins
Sheryl Atkins is a Staff Specialist for a Bay Area city government. She and her husband James have four
children and have lived in Tracy since 1992. Sheryl obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from the University of Phoenix . She enjoys singing in her church choir, travelling, old
movies, and reading. One of her favorite quotes, “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but
nothing can be changed until it is faced” by James Baldwin has been a motto to live by. Efforts by the
Tracy ’s Women Forum Association reflect this ideal. TWF strives to help women of all backgrounds make
positive changes that will enrich the quality of life for them and those in their communities. The
extraordinary work of TWF to educate, motivate and encourage women from diverse backgrounds is what
inspired Sheryl to become a member. And the experience of working with such an exceptional group of
women, has definitely made a positive impact on her life!
Alma Martinez-Burrell - Larry Benson Insurance Agency, LLC Nationwide
Insurance
Alma and her husband, Darrell, have lived in Tracy for 6 years. Together they have 6 children and 2 grandchildren with one
on the way. Alma's a licensed insurance agent for the Larry Benson Agency her in town. Specializing in auto, home and
commercial coverages. Along with raising her children and working she also is active within our community. She is an
Ambassador member for the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Tracy Hispanic Business group. Alma has
been an active member with the TWF since 2007 after attending herself and realizing what a wonderful conference this is for
women of all ages. Alma enjoys all her weekends, especially watching her younger children play competitive soccer.
Robin Nuno - In-Shape Health Clubs
Robin Nuno is married to the man of her dreams and a mother of one amazing son. She values God’s
blessings and loves to influence others—reaching out and lifting through the power of a positive mind and
God’s word. She had a column for the Tracy Press entitled “Dear Robin: Focusing on the Mind, Body, and
Soul.” She is currently working for In-Shape Health Clubs. She has volunteered for many years for several
organizations including Toys for Tots, Brighter Christmas, and Ribbon Run. Robin has received two Letters
of Accommodation from the US government.
Brenda Terry
Brenda Terry was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She later moved to Tracy in 1991. Brenda is married to Nate Terry "the
real estate conductor” and together they have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. Brenda is employed by Lawrence Livermore
National Laboratory, in Staff Relations Division. In her spare time, Brenda loves to travel, read a good book, and spend time
with family and friends.

Debbie Morales
Debbie is a District Manager for Mary Kay Cosmetics and has been with the Tracy Women's Forum for 3
years. This is her first year as an Executive Board Member.
Nanette Brown
Nanette Brown is a native of Cleveland Ohio. Nanette attended SF City College, SF State University and
Marinello's Beauty School in San Francisco. Nanette worked in the High Tech and Telecom industry for
over twenty years as well as the beauty industry. Nanette currently owns Salon Secrets Beauty Boutique in
Tracy, California. Nanette is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's "Look Good Feel Better"
program where she facilitates training sessions for patients fighting cancer, she works as a
trainer/counselor with "N-The-Class Room" providing group home workshops and support to juveniles, and
work as a substitute for the Tracy Unified School district. Nanette occasionally speaks at church and women
event's to motivate, empower and encourage others. Nanette's latest project is working with the Tracy
Women's Forum as a general member and as a mentor for young women within the Tracy community.
Jennifer Carrott
Jennifer is the Manager of Tracy's Hampton Inn. This is her first year with the Tracy Women's Forum.
Jaclyn Zoccoli
Jaclyn “Jacque” Zoccoli has lived in Tracy, with her husband, for 8 years, previously from San Jose. Her main focus in life is to
“be a catalyst for spontaneous combustion” (the title of her book on relationship building). She does that as a Networking Coach
in her Success Connection business. Mentoring, coaching, marketing collateral, speaking engagements, writing for
newspapers, all these are focused toward business owners and mostly women. Jacque has joined the Tracy Women’s Forum to
assist in empowering young women to become their very best. She is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Liberia,
West Africa. Through this endeavor Jacque began her first step in her volunteering career.
